Friday, 18th September 2026 | Senya Breku, Central Region
On Friday, 18th September 2026, Esther’s Oil Initiative visited Mother Theresa School for Girls in Senya Breku, Central Region, for an impactful outreach programme that brought together approximately 80 young girls.
The programme focused on the holistic wellbeing and development of the girls. The team engaged them on menstrual hygiene, general health and wellbeing, education, life skills, and preparing for life after school. The girls also had an opportunity to learn about their rights and the appropriate legal channels to seek help when they experience inappropriate touching, abuse, or other forms of mistreatment. The day also included a time of sharing the Word of God and prayer, encouraging the girls to have hope and purpose for their future.
As part of the outreach, Esther’s Oil Initiative, with support from De Boye’s Kitchen, provided a meal of kenkey, together with sobolo, pastries and chicken. The girls also received essential care and educational items, including deodorants, exercise books, pens, pencils, sanitary pads, backpacks, water bottles, body lotions, soaps, and other personal-care materials.
One of the most significant interventions was supporting a 15-year-old student who had given birth to return to school. Esther’s Oil Initiative committed to paying her school fees and provided her with new school uniforms, shoes and a school bag. Support was also extended to her baby through baby diapers provided by Hunnies Baby Diapers and other essential items.
Esther’s Oil Initiative has further committed to supporting and caring for the young mother throughout her time in school, helping to create an environment where she can continue her education while caring for her child.
The outreach reflects Esther’s Oil Initiative’s commitment to empowering young girls, teaching the word of God, promoting education and wellbeing, providing practical support, and helping young people build hopeful and purposeful futures.
